From January 18 at 7 PM through Monday morning January 21, VDOT plans to close Exit 284B from I-64 West and Exit 15A from I-264 East for work on the interchange. Exit 15 from I-264 West remains open. If you attend the Kempsville Road Location and use I-64 or I-264 from Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, or other areas South and West of our location, you will need a few more minutes on Sunday, January 20. After this work, motorists will be using some of the new roadway.
Here are a few alternative routes:
  • Take exit 284A (I-264 West), Military Highway, Virginia Beach Blvd. and Kempsville Road
  • Take the Indian River Road exit (286A) and use Military Highway, Virginia Beach Blvd. and Kempsville Road
  • Use Kempsville Road (the other one) in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach to Princess Anne Road. This turns into Kempsville Road at the Norfolk/Virginia Beach line.
  • The map below shows the options. The roadways highlighted in red will be closed.
A different detour is planned for Sunday, Jan. 27, and Sunday, Feb. 3, with full closures of Kempsville Road at the I-264 overpass. More on this in the coming weeks.
Don’t miss the experience of worshiping with your church family at either location!
